About
Based on the growth of NTS and the needs of our students, we have created a progressive program with divisions, based on levels and interest.
We are excited to announce those divisions for the 2022-2023 season below!
We are hopeful that this programming will provide a clear path for students to make choices about where they fit into the NTS programming.
We hope to have something for everyone, whether your child just want to dip their toe in or has their sights set on Broadway and a Tony Award! :)
*Registration for Fall 2022 will open on June 10th.
*Shows, rehearsal and performance schedules will be released in June.
*The majority of our schedule will follow suit with our current, Spring 2022 schedule.
*We will also have Acting, Dance and Private Voice Training.
* Registration for Summer is currently open
1) NTS Preschool
NTS Preschool is a class that meets once per week for 45 minutes, for children Ages 4-5 (Age 3 IF fully potty trained). This class is an introduction to Musical theatre through creative song, movement and acting.
2) NTS Preparatory (NTS PREP)
The NTS Preparatory Division is for new students Ages 4-6.
These students will participate in an entry level show (ie: The Jungle Book, Kids) that will rehearse one day a week and perform in The Lynette Mason Gregg Black Box Theatre at NTS / 106 Page Road.
3) NTS ACADEMY (Ages 7-9)
NTS Academy students are retuning students or new students that are age 7-9. These students will rehearse an Intermediate level show (ie: The Little Mermaid,Jr., Frozen, Kids) that will rehearse one day a week and perform in a mid-sized theatre (location TBD).
4) NTS CLASSES
NTS offers weekly classes in Ballet, Musical Theatre Dance and Acting / Improv. Private voice instruction is also available with our voice faculty, based on availability..
5) NTS ACADEMY ADVANCED (Ages 10-15)
NTS Academy Advanced Students are new and returning students ages 10-15. Students who are under the age of 10 with previous experience, may be invited to join the NTS Academy Advanced Level. These students will rehearse an Intermediate level show (ie: The Little Mermaid,Jr., Frozen, Kids) that will rehearse one to two days a week and perform in a mid-sized theatre (location TBD / Formerly Julia Green).
6) NTS PERFORMING COMPANY (PC) / By Audition / Invitation Only
NTS PC is designed as a pre-professional training program with performance opportunities that reach beyond our semester productions. The PC is a year round commitment that begins in August and runs through April/May (depending on theatre availability for Spring production) and is geared toward our most advanced and committed students. Students must meet the weekly Ballet or comparable technique class requirement.
Acting Classes and Private Voice are a nice addition, but NOT a requirement.
7) NTS HIGH SCHOOL ARTISTS (HSA)
We are excited to announce new programming for our first round of rising High Schoolers! We have been looking for ways to keep our high school students engaged, but this is our first class of students that are a large group that have been with NTS since the beginning. This program is in the planning phase and we are looking for ways to make this work for YOU!
Our goal is to keep our current students that are headed to high school engaged with NTS, while still fully participating in the high school experiences the schools in Nashville have to offer.
